Galileo 9&10 Released to their Orbits

The launch of Galileo satellites 9&10 ended successful. The satellites have been released to their designated orbits this morning. A team of ESA and CNES will bring the satellites to life within the next 10 days.

A further launch towards the end of the year is on schedule. The pace for building up the Galileo system will be increased next year. With an Ariane 5 launcher the payload is doubled bringing each time 4 satellites into their orbits.
